The FCC has launched the Affordable Connectivity Program
(ACP) which helps low-income households pay for broadband service and internet connected devices; the $14.2 billion successor to the Emergency Broadband Benefit (EBB) program.
Eligible households to receive:
- Discounts up to $30 per month on internet service
- Discounts up to $75 per month on internet service if the household is on qualifying tribal lands
- A one-time discount up to $100 for a laptop, desktop computer, or tablet from participating providers (with a co-payment of more than $10 and less than $50)
