Welcome Message

From the Desk of  Superintendent Greg Hetrick

Welcome to the Oakley Union Elementary School District Website.  Thank you for taking time to log onto our website and find out all about all of the Amazing things that take place in our District.  It is my hope that you find our website useful and if there is something that you do not see please let us know.

One of the things that I say frequently is, “Working together we do make a difference.”  This is one of my core beliefs and I am committed to doing what needs to be done to get to work with you.  As a District, we are committed to working hard to find ways to get all of our District’s families, friends and supporters to become actively engaged in our schools.

We take the education of our more than 5,200 students very seriously and we believe that every child deserves the opportunity to be challenged academically, supported socially and emotionally, and have the opportunity to become actively engaged in the school they attend.  Our District Vision, listed above, serves as our guide to all that we do.

I want to ensure that you are informed of all the activities that take place in our District and I encourage you to frequently login and see what amazing things are taking place at each of our eight sights, as well as checking on the progress of our new school “Summer Lake Elementary School”.

Again, thank you for taking the time to read my message and for visiting our website.  As your Superintendent, I am excited about what this school year has in store for us and I hope to hear from you.  You can follow me on Twitter @GregHetrick or reach me via email at ghetrick@ouesd.k12.ca.us or by phone at (925) 625-5050.

Thanks for all that you do.

Have a great day!!
