Frequently Asked Questions

Is the EDLC program open during school breaks and summer?

The EDLC will not be open for the 2023-2024 Fall, Spring, or Winter Breaks.

Is the EDLC open on Staff Development Days?

For the 2023-2024 school year, EDLC will NOT be open for Staff Development Days.

When is monthly tuition due?

Tuition is due in FULL by the 5th of each month. A $25.00 late fee will be imposed if tuition is received after 4:30PM on the due date. A student may be removed from the program if fees are not paid by the 10th of the month.

If a tuition due date falls on a day that the EDLC is closed, the tuition will be due on the next business day the EDLC is open.

If a check is returned there will be a $25.00 fee in addition to the monthly tuition. Any payment made after a check has been returned will need to be made in the form of a cashier’s check or money order.

How can I submit my EDLC monthly tuition?

  1. Online: You can make payments online using the EDLC Customer Portal. Once you have set up your Customer Portal, go to “My Account” tab and add you credit card information. By adding your credit card information, you are authorizing the EDLC to make tuition/fee payments. If your credit care information is in the Customer Portal, we will process credit card payments the day after tuition is due. For example, if tuition is the 5th, your credit card will be processed on the 6th.
  2. Payments in the form of check, money order, or cashier’s check should be made payable to the Oakley Union Elementary School District or OUESD. These payments will ONLY be accepted at the Oakley Union District Office located at 91 Mercedes Lane between the hours of 8:00AM and 4:30PM.

If my child starts the EDLC program in the middle of the month, do you pro-rate the tuition fee?

Unfortunately, we do not pro-rate the tuition. We base our payments on a 10 month calendar cycle to keep our fees low.

How do I dis-enroll my student from the EDLC?

If you would like to dis-enroll your student from the EDLC, you must provide a two-week written notice to the EDLC Program Coordinator, Diana Masuzumi, to avoid any additional fees.

Can I change my student's EDLC program throughout the school year?

Parents may modify their EDLC contract with 30 days prior written notice. Upon approval, a new contract indicating the change will be required.

What do I need to do if my child will be absent from the EDLC?

If a student will be absent from the EDLC for any given reason, it is the responsibility of the parent/guardian to contact the EDLC. If the EDLC does not receive any message and cannot locate your child, they will attempt to contact the parents/guardians.

What happens to my child if I cannot pick them up by 6:00PM?

We never leave your child unattended. If you are late picking up your child, you will be charged $2.00 for every minute late (per student). The late fee is added to the next month’s tuition and must be paid in full to continue the program. Please note that if you are late three times, you can be asked to leave the EDLC program.
